I’m such a sucker for badass humans who balance each other out. Kristina is hilarious, witty, and outgoing. Joe is kind, calm, and collected. Together they are a perfect balanced pair and their fall California wedding was such a balance too. The day was a perfect mix of meaningful touches and sweet silly moments.
Kristina’s granny was her favorite person on the planet, so on the way to their ceremony we stopped at the church where her ashes are held. Kristina wanted to have a few intimate moments to honor her before saying “I do.” Her grandpa was the “flower grandpa” in lieu of a traditional flower girl. One of their best friends officiated and the guest list only included their closest core humans. Every corner of this wedding was thoughtful, down to the antique family trays they used for appetizers.
I met these two at their engagement shoot a few months before their wedding. So I already knew them well enough to jump right into their day and feel like friends. But what I didn’t expect, was to be treated like a member of their family. They invited us to their taco gathering the night before their wedding and booked us an airbnb so we didn’t have to drive home late after their wedding. They’ve also sent several other amazing couples our way, and there is no greater compliment than that. I will forever feel so thankful, appreciated, and loved by these two!
This was one of those days where I was really sad when it was over. But I’m so happy to stay in touch with Kristina – texting each other just to chat, sending funny things to each other on instagram, and remaining friends to this day.
I cannot wait to see what the future holds for you two!!
