A little summer family photoshoot to remind us to romanticize our life and truly capture the “unimportant”. Because your everyday life is just as important to remember as the big moments.

Kaylene reached out to me to capture a summer cookout with her immediate family and I have never been so touched. This photoshoot is so special. To see this family come together with parents, grandmothers, sisters, and pets to celebrate the every day and romanticize a cookout was everything and more.

They laughed together, cooked, ate, had a simple white sheet backdrop, and made memories that will last with them for a lifetime. The simplicity, love, and thoughtfulness of this entire day was completely unmatched. I think we need to have way more photoshoots like these.

Looking back on this a year later and it still just makes me so unbelievably happy. So if you’re wanting to dress up and eat some delicious food with while surrounded by the people you love… you should absolutely plan a summer family photoshoot. And hire a photographer (preferably me lol) to go around and snap pictures. These are the ones you’ll look back on so, so fondly.
