Shooting a Lake Tahoe proposal at sunrise at Emerald Bay means an early morning wake up call… but holy smokes, these two were well worth the 4am alarm!

Melissa & Emily had a trip planned to Tahoe, and little did Emily know, Melissa hired me to photograph & help her plan a surprise proposal to Emily. I pretended to be a random person enjoying the sunrise near them and pulled my camera out right as Melissa got down on one knee. She was so surprised & happy!! It was absolutely beautiful.

Plot twist though – Emily also planned a surprise proposal for Melissa! She proposed two days before, which made Melissa’s surprise proposal to Emily just that much sweeter and more celebratory.

There are a lot of reasons Melissa & Emily inspire me. But top of that list is the way they go all in for each other. They hold nothing back in making sure the other feels like the most important person on the planet. And that was evident with the beautiful proposals and once in a lifetime trip to Lake Tahoe that they planned for each other!

Congrats you two!!! Every time I see these photos I can’t help but smile ear to ear, thinking about what an epic morning this was.
