Our sweet friends Emily and Justin had a little adventure shoot for their Donner Lookout engagement photos. And wow, I’m late to posting these but I just love them so much!
Even though these two are already married, we’re throwing it back to this day because the clouds, the wind, and the views that mother nature brought all came together to make the most moody and magical photoshoot.
Donner Lookout is known for it’s stunning views and it’s actually pretty easy to get too. If you’re wanting adventure engagement or elopement photos. This is a perfect spot. With minimal climbing and a background that just doesn’t disappoint. I love exploring this area with my couples!
Emily and Justin took on the challenge so we spent a lot of time climbing up rocks. We walked along Donner Lake, danced into the evening, and then ended the night with two bottles of champagne. Capturing their love was an actual treat.
Whenever I see these photos, I’m always reminded that you don’t NEED those golden hour shots to get beautiful images. The moodiness of a dreary sky can be just as romantic. And maybe makes it seem a little more intimate?
