Danielle and Cody’s California woodsy wedding at The HideOut was an actual bucket list item. I have been wanting to shoot a wedding at this California wedding venue forever and this experience blew all of my expectations out of the water.
The golden hour moments on Danielle and Cody’s day were giving ✨ that one Twilight scene where Bella & Edward are cuddling in a field of wildflowers at the top of a mountain during golden hour. ✨
But here are a few of my favorite moments from this day —
Climbing around the rocks and creating art was such a core memory of this day. Nothing was rushed. Nothing was a burden. The day was planned around this sacred time for these two. So they could enjoy each other alone, watch the sun go down over the mountains, laugh, play, cuddle, and soak in all the emotions of the commitments they just promised to each other.
These moments and these photos just prove what a sacred space this part of a wedding day can be.
When sunset photos are not a burden crammed into a tight timeline – but are treated as the only few moments alone you’ll get on your wedding day with your soulmate. 💫
Danielle’s biggest importance of the day was photo and video, so we had big shoes to fill with her expectations. But I’m so happy with how artsy and amazing these photos turned out. Their responses to everything are life-giving so I wanted to share them:
“I can’t even express the warmth and joy these photos bring me from the bottom of my my heart I truly appreciate everything you guys have done for us “
“oOh my god. These are insane. WOW. That’s all we kept saying when we were looking through them all. The lighting! The emotion captured! The amount of photos! They’re absolutely gorgeous!”
So here’s to D+C and their perfect California woodsy wedding. I’ll cherish it forever.
