As a photographer, I firsthand know how important it is to capture of every part this precious life. Capturing and freezing time in the most precious moments is the greatest gift you can give your future self. Time with pets, kids, and loved ones just moves by so quickly and it’s easy to put your own photos on the back burner. It’s so easy to stay behind the camera and put everyone else before you and your own family.
So I’m here to remind my fellow photographer friends (and really everybody) to carve out the time! Take the time to schedule family photos every year or so. Schedule a mini session for yourself. Reach out to your photographer friends and ask them to spend 30 minutes with you, so one day you don’t regret not having ore beautiful gems of this beautiful life. It’s so dang precious.
We had our friend Taylor Kern Photography come along one of our evening walks with us in the rain around Martin’s first birthday. These photos were so special even though they’re just capturing part of our routine. We’ll look back and remember this time so fondly of having a 1 year old, and our 3 little pups.
Do the photoshoot on your walk, in your house, during your morning routine or night routine, at the park, while you’re cooking dinner. Some of the most special mems are created during the “mundane” tasks.
Take the family photos and hang them on your wall for all to see. Celebrate the beautiful life you’ve created. 🤍
