Sometimes I get these really funky ideas, and I just can’t get them out of my head until I create them. This urban rooftop adventure shoot with an added shopping cart was high on that list of fun ideas that I was dying to create!

I knew this idea needed a special couple that was truly down for anything and would have just as much fun with this shoot as me. The instant I thought of who that could be, Taylor & Charley popped into my head. They are two of the most passionate, exciting, chill women I’ve ever met. Best part – they were just as stoked on the photoshoot idea as me!! They absolutely killed it with the edgy urban vibes and brought my entire vision to life.

First step was borrowing my dad’s huge red truck because the shopping cart wouldn’t fit in my Mini Cooper (lol). Then we grabbed some champagne, rolled a joint, and headed to a rooftop in Reno, Nevada. The sun had just fallen behind the Sierra Mountains and the Northern Nevada sky was showing off it’s pastel vibes. We danced and twerked to Destiny’s Child and all our favorite 2000’s Hip Hop jams, until all the city lights turned on. I fan girled over Taylor & Charley and how rad they are. We talked about life and I never wanted this night to end.

This evening was truly one for the books and these photos are now some of my all time favorite work I’ve ever created!

P.S. I did in fact return the shopping cart the next day! Haha!
